She has been honored to take an advisory roll in the production of a sex trafficking documentary project, from conception to completion. The project is currently being used state wide in an effort to educate public schools and communities. She sits on the Genesee County Human Trafficking Task Force and is a board member of the Human Trafficking Task Force of Shiawasee County. Her husband, Pastor Doug Tipton, sits on the board of Mirium’s house, the only underground safehouse in Genesee County. Christina has been nominated by Genesee County Youth Corporation to the National Advisory Board as well as a national conference instructor on human trafficking. She was the 2017 state of Michigan conference speaker for Michigan Youth and Families. Tipton Ministries, was founded by Doug and Christina to provide systematic aftercare for victims of human trafficking. This has created opportunities for several local and national businesses to partner for victim advocacy, starting with Snake and Dagger Tattoo shop in Grand Blanc Michigan. It is the only Tattoo shop that will “Unbrand” a survivor for free. Indian Trails Bus Company has created a discount especially for Tipton Ministries to relocate a victim for out of state services. Christina also works closely with the Sheriff to create an exit plan for the ladies when they are released, as well as providing resources of clothing and personal care items. Tipton Ministries has launched an annual billboard campaign each year and rotates them throughout the community. Christina has her degree in Education and Biblical Studies, and is employed as a social worker. Yet, her ability to communicate and relate this passion for advocacy is her greatest credential.
